Handblock Printing - A skilled block maker carves the designs by hand into hard teak wood, which is then dipped into a tray containing vegetable or Chemical dyes and applied with skilled precision onto yards of stretched fabric.

A separate block is made for each colour in the design. A contrast to the monotony of the machine printed textiles, hand block printed fabric possess a characteristics  unevenness that makes each piece unique.
