"'In the arithmetic of LOVE, one plus one equals everything, and two minus one equals nothing"

So when I am asked to design, I'm thinking Minimalist and Romantic but like, Vintage without being Gatsby and slightly Boho, Sexy, Traditional but with Exclusive Bold vibes... Poornima Sharma

Garry Weds Reshika

Groom:  Garry wanted to wear a Sherwani , so I designed his Sherwani in Pure Banarasi Brocade fabric with Silk underlining & Antique Gold buttons.
I wanted Garrys wedding outfit to have 2 variations also as Srilankan Weddings have 2 parts of the ceremony. So I made a Rani Pink Cotton Silk Kurta which Garry wore inside the Sherwani so when Reshika changed her Lehenga to Saree Garry could change from Sherwani to Kurta.

Dhotti: we made the Dhotti in Antique Gold Cotton Silk.

Duppatta/Shawl: Garry wanted a regal look so we made the Duppatta/Shawl in Pure Georgette Kashmiri Embroidery Fabric with Multicoloured Antique Gold Gotta borders & Gold Tissue Silk backing.

Bride: Being Srilankan Reshika wanted to break the trend by wearing a lehenga for the first part of the Wedding ceremony. For the second part of the ceremony  I designed a Pure Floral Organza Silk saree with Banarasi Dabka/Zardozi Borders & to give the Saree a quirky combination I paired it with Pure Tussar Silk Embroidery Peachy Pink Blouse with Gold Zari  & Dabka work.

Jewellery: I styled Reshika in  German Silver Kundan/Brass mix with an Antique Gold Pieces set Choker  & Earrings.

Best Man (Tholan): I designed the Kurta & Churidaar in Cotton Silk Fabric and paired it with Banarasi Georgette Duppatta/shawl.

Bridesmaid ( Tholi): I designed the Saree in Tissue cotton base with Antique Gold Borders & Taffetta Silk Blouse with Gotta.

Kriti Weds Nimeesh

Bride: Kriti has a very unique style of her own and it definitely reflects her gorgeous fun filled personality.  For Kriti I designed an Anarkali gherra top in Taffeta Silk With Banarasi borders with Brocade Silk Lehenga & Pure Georgette Duppatta with Pearls & Banarasi Gotta borders.

Jewellery: For head Piece we made a German Silver Brass mix Silver Tikka with Durga carvings. And for her feet I designed a heavy base German Silver Anklets with a bit of Chittai work.

Nish and Bavati

These gorgeous couples fully trusted my vision so when I created their mood board, Colours concept together they were over the moon as it fitted their Peacock colours themed Venue aesthetics.

Bride: I designed Bavati Lehenga in Handcrafted Pure Banarasi Brocade with Zardozi/Dabka Gotta borders & handmade Brocade Latkans

I designed two types of Blouses to give her variation flexibility later with any style look she chose to wear. One blouse was traditional 3/2 Sleeves & the other one that she is wearing in Pure Silk with Zardozi/Dabka & Banarasi Gotta borders.

Duppatta I made in Pure Net with Gold Zari Boutis & Zardozi/Banarasi Borders with Pure Silk backing.

Groom: Loved designing Nish outfit as he is one of the most stylish groom I have come across so far. He knew what he wanted and wanted to look for his special events. In fact he made sure to come one day specially to learn how I style his Duppatta/Shawl for his Sangeet & Wedding.

I designed Nish Kurta & Nehru jacket in Pure Silk with Gold Zari Piping. And I paired the Kurta half jacket with Cotton Silk Churidaar.

Duppatta/Shawl: I designed Kashmiri Embroidered Duppatta/Shawl in Pure Georgette with Gold Zari backing.

Raman Weds Mithun

This was indeed one of my biggest Indian Punjabi weddings for this year that took place in Melbourne. I designed the whole Grooms & Bridal Party side along with the Bride & Groom outfits :)

It was definitely a very big & challenging project.

I must admit I feel so blessed that I had the chillest, most positive, most understanding bride Raman who made sure she had a big smile with the most kind Heart patience throughout.

Raman wanted the wedding to have a colour concept, the Groom side to be Pink /Gold  and the Bride side to be Brown/Gold.

She wanted me to style not only her but the whole Bridal & Groom Side too so she got me to fly over to Melbourne. It was the most aesthetically beautiful wedding.

Raman wanted every detail of her Wedding to be aesthetically Classy, Exclusively Customised & Traditional.
For months we had been planning how her Jewellery & her Wedding outfit should look as she had a vision in her head and she did not want to compromise on anything as it was her most special day.

Raman loves the sheer richness of Red so I designed Blood Red Banarasi Khadi Georgette Saree with Dabka & Banarasi antique Gold Zari borders which had a theme of Raja (King) & Rani (Queen) wedding. I had two Duppatta made for her, one in Silk Bhandej with Gold Dabka & Zardozi work & one in Net Zari With Silk Backing borders.

Her Blouse was in Velvet Blood Red choli cut with Dabka & Banarasi borders.

Jewellery: She wanted Matt Antique Gold with Kundan work broad choker as she only wanted to wear that on its own with multi layer Kundan/ Gold Earrings.

Raman, a very empowering, super patient & independent Soul who is working as a very successful Doctor, she is originally from Canada but has been residing in Melbourne Australia for about 11 Years.

Tiesha Weds Courtney

I met Tiesha’s mum Natalie 2 years ago when I was doing my Pop up store in Stanhope Gardens shopping centre. That’s when Natalie approached me to meet her daughter Tiesha to discuss designing her wedding outfit.

When I rocked up at Tiesha place, little did I know that it would be my Meera’s first LGBTQ wedding. I felt honoured & over the moon that Natalie & Tiesha had that much confidence in me to design what they were visioning & looking for.

I made Tiesha’s Lehenga in Pure Silk with Kota Doria Blouse & Duppatta.

The Blouse & Duppatta had Silk lining, Pearls & Aari work Kundan Gotta Borders. Tiesha wanted a minimal yet elegant classy beach wedding look so we chose to make the Outfit in Champagne Ivory colour. The Lehenga was plain but I wanted to have all the Pearls & Kundan Gotta work at the ghera borders to make it stand out & to aesthetically go with Courtney White Dress vibes.
Finally with all the Covid delays & challenging times behind Tiesha finally married the love of her life on 23.04.2022.

Kersha & Thinesh

Civil Ceremony

Let’s say Some projects are worth getting some grey hair…this was the most fun filled adrenaline pumped project because I had to customise each colour palette also along with outfits. Plus with 2 previous events of Kersha & Thinesh that I had done I wanted to make sure it looked completely different.

Aim was to achieve the balance between Traditional & Contemporary at the same time…

Thinesh (Groom) I chose Jacquard Cotton Silk based fabric to make his Blazer & Cotton Silk thread fabric to make his vest.
For his pocket square I used handcrafted Banarasi cotton silk fabric

Groomsmen - I chose Jacquard Cotton Silk base fabric with Pure Silk Ties & Handcrafted Banarasi Cotton Silk pocket Squares

Kersha (Bride)- For her Blouse & Trail I used Pure Georgette with Sequins with Antique Gold Dabka/Zardozi Borders & Gold Zari lining.

For her Lehenga we used Georgette Kota Doria lace fabric with Silk under lining, Dabka/Zardozi Borders & handmade Latkans.

Bridesmaids - I used Organza Silk based fabric with Gold Zari weaving , Dabka /Zardozi Borders & handmade Latkans
